Little Black Dresses
Here's Sterling's first little black dress, that I made the other day. She looks like a ballerina to me (even if she's not wearing a tutu). My inspiration was from a picture in a magazine with a little girl wearing a black leotard with a black skirt, pink tights, and ballet shoes. The black looked so cute with the little girl's blonde hair, so I decided make Sterling a feminine black dress. And she looks so pretty!
And here's my little black dress I just made. The bottom is from what used to be a strapless smocked top, made of jersey knit. It was pretty long so I decided to take out all of the smocked stitching, ironed it, and then sewed it together with a pretty lace top (which was on some slip type dress I bought from a thrift store). The best part of this dress is that it was free! I love reusing stuff when I can.
Here's the pretty lace detail.
And the 2 girls playing dress up in their little black dresses. :)
