So here's a skirt I made from a set of vintage pillow cases. I loved the butterfly print. We never really used them as pillow case, so I wanted to do something with them that would get some good use. The top band is made from a silky royal blue elastic fabric that was originally from the bottom hem of a shirt I used to have. Pillow cases are great for making slip dresses as well. All you have to do is cut off the bottom, stitch it up, and add some straps. I've seen a few ideas on Free People's blog (http://blog.freepeople.com/), one of my favorite blogs. It's an older entry so I will have to look back on the site to find it. Once I do I will post that page in case anyone is interested in seeing their ideas! :)
