last projects...

Ok, so this was probably my last sewing project for a while. At least a big one like this because I do still want to make a heating pad. I made one last week and put lots of smell good lavendar and stuff in it. But because we live in a very old house......a tiny little mouse found it and decided to chew a tiny hole in it. yuk! So, I will probably be making another one with just rice....and no fragrance! So, sad.

Anyway, for a long time I have wanted to make Sterling and Elle this (http://www.ciaspalette.com/prod_pages/ptabnapi.html) huge pillow that I saw on this blog (http://mycakies.blogspot.com/2008/04/my-first-babycakies-2nd-birthday.html) a long time ago, but just never got around to it. And I just love this blog (http://mycakies.blogspot.com/). She finds and has the best ideas. Well, Sterling and Elle love to play on the floor these days and I don't really have the time or money to search for a rug for them. So, I decided to use alot of my scraps and make a big pillow. I would have loved to use some new fabric, but just couldn't justify it with a big tub of scraps that I have so here's what came out.

And it seems that this pattern is pretty dated so I couldn't find it anywhere.......so I just guessed. It turned out pretty good for guessing and putting it together in just a few hours.
The girls REALLY like it! And it has a pocket!
