a goal

Yoga

Since Brandon and I got married, which was almost 9 years ago, I had this idea to become a yoga instructor. I mostly did lots of videos at home, because it was free. Plus, I really enjoyed the challenge of balancing poses, stretches, and the relaxing/de-stressing...minus the chanting or other religious parts of it that some classes teach. (I really enjoy yoga alot, but I am devoted to my Christian faith, not Hinduism.) I did try a few classes for fun though. After having Sterling I thought about it some more, but didn't pursue it because I just felt like as a first time mom I wanted to solely focus my time on her.

Here I am 6 years later and three kids later, but I still have that desire sometimes. I still very much enjoy doing yoga. Even if it's just doing a video at home, balancing upside down ("downward facing dog") as my girls try to crawl through my legs sometimes. It's still good to me, just to be active, just to do something different around my girls. And there is still time for me to possibly pursue this idea of long ago. It's on my "bucket list" Brandon says. It's a goal. One day I plan to accomplish it, but for now I will just keep practicing when I can and enjoy it when I can.
