Here's a fun craft I did with the girls the other day. We got some plain fabric and cut it into 2 rectangles for each of them. (we used muslin, but you could probably just use a plain old sheet) We drew little gardens. Then they colored them.
After coloring, I sewed them together and added some old trim my mom had passed down to me a long time ago (kind of like a frame). Then we stuffed them and I sewed it up.
They were so happy with these pillows. I remember making a picture that was transferred onto a plastic plate in my art class when I was little. It was one of my favorite things until it cracked. I think this will be one of their favorites!
Someone asked me about how to wash the pillow. My answer....these pillows probably won't get washed. It didn't cost us anything because we just used stuff around our house. If it gets messed up, I suppose we will just make another one again sometime. The markers were not washable but I'm sure it would probably bleed if it was washed. Just something fun to do with stuff around the house.
