Sterling turned 6! Our Sterling is a pretty cool girl! This year she was very specific....she asked for a few Hello Kitty things (watch, water bottle, pajamas). I must admit, I did have a Hello Kitty phase myself when I was younger (and still think some of it is cute), but this is all her. I don't want to be a pushy mom and make her like what I like. So, she loves all things hello kitty at the moment. But then, she was torn for her "big" gift. It was a toss up for a pair of Nike running shoes or a Buzz Light Year toy that talks. Last minute she finally decided she wanted Buzz! It's hilarious at first Brandon thought it was too boyish for her. But then as we talked about it, it made sense. On the cd that we are recording Sterling wrote a song with Brandon and I about God being our hero. And she thinks Buzz is like a hero. I think every kid needs a hero. Even girls!
