Turkey, dressing, pies and all the sides.
I even got to squeeze in a little crafting by making some homemade napkins last minute. I realized I didn't really have any "fall-ish" napkins. So, instead of using my plain white ones I remembered I had found some vintage fabric at the thrift that would work. I think it was originally a curtain. I washed the fabric and cut it into rectangles using my old ones as a measuring guide. Sewing the edges and now I've got a new set of 10 cute napkins. I want to do this again sometime. It was easy and pretty quick. I don't think about buying things like tablecloths or napkins too much to make a table pretty unless I see something at the thrift store and it's really rare that I find something I like. So, this worked great.

It was a nice day. We got to have a few different families in our home this year for Thanksgiving. Some with kids, some without, some we have known for a little bit, and some we just met a few weeks ago. God is teaching us a lot about opening our home and inviting people to our table. To be more hospitable. To give freely and serve others, friends or strangers. We have so much to be thankful for, and today we were thankful for friends to share the day with.
Happy Thanksgiving!
