I wanted to do this project with the girls for a while and we finally got around to it. We tried this a week ago but I'm just now getting around to posting it because one of the littles has been really sick.
They were so excited to do this. I'm not sure if all kids are like this or if it's just mine, but they love rocks. So, it was a winner. I got all of the materials at the dollar store (even the bag of rocks). The only thing I would say that I didn't like was the paint that we used. It was a nontoxic "kid friendly" washable paint. So after playing with them a few hours Sophie decided to pick some of her paint off. Next time I will either use a sealant to cover them after they have been painted and dried, or use a different kind of paint. But this was fun. And we will definitely be doing it again sometime.
