I think it's funny, but also pretty great that my kids like to use our recycling bits from around the house to create things here and there. Sure, they are like every other kid that loves toys. And if I took them to the store often (which I don't very much anymore) they would usually ask to look at all the brightly colored toys...in which if I were completely honest sometimes makes me feel overwhelmed even as an adult from the sensory overload walking down those isles. We do go to stores sometimes, and we do buy our kids things sometimes, but most of our days are spent in and around the house for now. And I love to see their creative sides come out even at the most random times. Here's Elle when she and Sterling were pretending to be robots.
