June is the biggest birthday month in our house. We celebrate 3 different birthdays (Elle's, mine, and Sterling's). It's quite busy.
The other week Elle turned 6! This year we celebrated her birthday in a hotel. She got to sleep in her own fluffy bed (the others got to share a pull out bed and baby was in the pack n play). She opened most of her presents (the biggest gift she asked for was waiting at home...we got her a big kid bike), ate chocolate brownie pie (that I made before we left and brought it with us), and played in the pool. After the celebrating we headed home.
Every year the girls get a birthday dress of some sort, and the other things on her list were pretty simple. One thing she wanted was a magnifying glass (for detective spy work of course...that's "the thing" these days), so I found her this magnifying glass necklace. And she also asked for a watch. Very practical little girl. Her sisters made her cards and I made her a new friendship bracelet, and there were a few other little surprises we threw in.
She even got her nails painted for the occasion. What a little lady she is becoming.
These girls can be pretty hilarious sometimes!
Celebrating birthdays are always so much fun. We love to make it special for them.
Happy birthday sweet Elle! We love you to pieces.
