It's taken a few weeks but I'm finally getting around to sharing Ruby's birthday.
I find myself getting real sentimental with birthdays these days. I look back at old photos and baby pictures and can't believe how fast the time has gone by. This also makes me so thankful that I can take pictures of them and look back at these years. Here's Ruby just a few days old. It's hard to believe she's already two! Babies change so much in the first few years.
Here's the birthday girl (don't mind the flailing child arm in the background...this is the best one I could get). And yes, she did turn two even though there is only one candle on her cake. It just ended up that way! Ha! So much going on...fourth child problems. She didn't mind one bit. She still enjoyed her chocolate chip banana muffin.
She got some cards, a little mouse that lives in a matchbox (similar to this but hers was handmade...you can see a similar one here which is more like the one I made, and I will try to post some pictures soon), a new mama made doll (you can see some of the ones I made for the others here and here ), a few other things, and I made everyone these ribbon wands to take home. (this blog is one of my favorite "go to's" for inspiring ideas to make fun kid stuff!) Everyone seemed to really like them. Especially the birthday girl!
And at the end her favorite thing was jumping and running around with all of her sisters and a few friends, all the while holding onto her new ribbon wand and baby doll. Ruby Song Walden you are one of the sweetest!
